I`m here!!!

Well, I finally made to the land of the rising sun. It`s awesome. I was able to sleep all night after walking around for a couple of hours with the other trainees who arrived last night. Everyone is very nice and I think we will have a lot of fun this week. I think I`m actually the oldest one here. Anyway, the flight was not as terrible as I had anticipated. I sat next to two really interesting people on the plane, so time passed quickly - one woman from nagoya and an american headed for taipei on business. The woman from nagoya and are planning to meet for sushi sometime soon - we had a short japanese and english lesson on the plane - talk about lost in translation (we actually did discuss that movie - she prefers johnny depp to bill murray). So, we (the trainees) were actually mostly on the same flight and didn`t even know it. (if this looks weird i apologize - the keyboard just started typing in japanese and i`m not sure how to fix it). A woman from AEON met us at the airport and put us how to fix it). A woman from AEON met us at the airport and put us on a bus for nagoya station. We were met there by our trainers and shown a little bit of nagoya on the way to the hotel (Daiichi Fuji Hotel). We all decided to take showers and then meet back to see the city for a bit. When I turned on the tv in my room the first program I saw was that show that Bill murray goes onto in Lost in Translation - that crazy and very annoying variety show. Flipping through the channels I realized they really like their annoying variety shows here. My room is not too comically small, and the bed is actually comfortable. I do get free internet in my room but I haven`t mustered the strength to set up all the stuff (big packet with wires) yet. Nagoya looks pretty cool - what I`ve seen of it - lots of neon, shops, bars, people, etc lots of neon, shops, bars, people, etc... I will try to post pics today. Sorry if I`m rambling - probably the jet Sorry if I`m rambling - probably the jet lag. I was able to sleep an entire night though. So, I`m going to venture out and try to find A coffee shop and a bit of breakfast. There`s a five-story drugstore I want to go and get lost in and big electronics store with some crazy guy with a megaphone yelling at people. Another drugstore I walked past last night looked like a disco - with strobe lights and electronica blaring and people having a great time inside???I will try to email individuals later - hopefully, those of you who wrote me will check my posts.Take care - it`s crazy here, but I feel like I`m definitely in the right place!! In short, it rocks!! I will think up more eloquent and witty banter about my first impressions when I recover from jet lag.
