here start our pics from kyoto. we only visited for a day, so we didn't get to see too much, but we did visit mcdonald's - so, all of you japanese culture buffs out there should be happy with that one. there were a lot of people en route in kyoto today, so the transportation and temples were packed. this picture is outside of sanjusangendo, a buddhist temple with 1001 buddhist statues. this long porch you see behind marlena is used for archery competitions.
