On my way back to the hotel, I walked past this huge walled in complex and it turned out to be a very nice garden. So, I couldn't resist a stroll. It's called the Shosei-en Garden, which actually belongs to Higashi Honganji temple, but is not connected to it. This is smack dab in the middle of downtown Kyoto - a peacful retreat. I walked along the paths here for 15-20 minutes (it's not that big), until I came across a path that said "Beware of the bee". You don't have to tell me twice. I turned right around and went back the way I came. I don't want to see "the bee" thank you very much!
